Batting first, Fellows posted an imposing total of 322 for 9 in their 40 overs, thanks largely to an imperious innings of 200 from Shoaib.
Fellows started cautiously, with 55 runs for 2 wickets after 10 overs. A partnership then built slowly between Shoaib and Sonu which lasted for 18 overs and worth 143 runs before Sonu was bowled for 32 on the ball before the second drinks break. The rest of the batsmen more or less watched from the other end as Shoaib went through his considerable repertoire of shots before he was out caught on the long on boundary off spinner Sohail after reaching his second century. Mangala (26) took over the scoring momentum in the last overs to bring fellows up to their imposing total. Spinner Sohail with 4 for 60 from 7 overs was the most dangerous of the Moufflon bowlers, Lakwinder 1 for 35 off 8 overs the most economical.
As high scoring has been the norm in the early rounds of the tournament, Fellows could not be complacent, and indeed Moufflons' determined fightback might have made any lower score a losing score. With Murtaza on 27, Muhammad on 31, Shabbir on 58 and Mehboob on 33, moufflons total of 223 ao in the 39th over at another time could have won the game. Of Fellows bowlers Mangala with 3 for 27 off 6 overs was the most dangerous and most economical, followed by Zahid at 2 for 28 off his 7 overs.
Fellows now face Mustangs in the final. Mustangs gave Fellows a hiding in the group stage. It will be interesting to see how Fellows respond in the final.
