Kazepis wins low scoring game against Epi Lions

In a low scoring game, Kazepis recovered from early wobble to record a 5 wickets win over Epi Lions at Happy Valley.
Shahid Ali, after winning the toss decided to field first and his bowlers' tight line ensured no easy pickings for the Lions batsmen. Epi Lions struggled for the runs in the mandatory power play and managed to score only 25 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Lions fared at the same pace for the next 10 overs and at half way stage were 50 for 4 with the lynchpin, Andrew Mulkern cleaned up by Hafiz Jamil in the 19th over.
National Team Coach, Chris Wood (32*) coming in at 4, carried his bat as Epi Lions got bowled out for 97 in the 34th over. Abdul Manan was the pick of bowlers as He finished with 4 for 27. Shafaqat and Kazim got 2 wickets each while Jamil and Sanjeev finished with a wicket apiece.
In reply, Kazepis got a nightmare start as Richard Crossley and Andrew Spring rip through the top order and left Kazepis reeling at 39/4 after 8 overs. Faheem who got dropped in the 10th over, somehow managed to survive Crossley and Spring's probing spell and found an able partner in Kaleem Mirza, as they took the score to 70 when Spring got the better of Kaleem (25). Faheem (23*) along with Sanjeev managed to reach the target without any further loss. Richard Crossley finished with 3 wickets and Andy Spring accounted for 2 Kazepis wickets.
The result meant that Amdocs are now guaranteed a place in semi final.
